[1981] A phenomenon (dhamma) with a present object (paccuppannārammaṇa) is a condition, by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya), for a phenomenon with a future object (anāgatārammaṇa).
One reviews the future divine eye (dibbacakkhu); one reviews the divine ear element (dibbasotadhātu); one reviews the future knowledge of the kinds of supernormal power (iddhividha-ñāṇa) that has a present object; the knowledge penetrating the minds of others (cetopariya-ñāṇa) … One contemplates with insight the future aggregates (khandhā) that have a present object as impermanent …; … taking that as object, lust (rāga) with a future object … grief arises. Future aggregates that have a present object are a condition, by object condition, for the knowledge (ñāṇa) penetrating the minds of others, for the knowledge of the future (anāgataṃsa-ñāṇa), and for adverting (āvajjana).
