[1982] A phenomenon with a past object (atītārammaṇo dhammo) is a condition for a phenomenon with a past object by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya): object-predominance (ārammaṇādhipati), conascence-predominance (sahajātādhipati).
Object-predominance: One gives weight to the past sphere of infinity of consciousness (viññāṇañcāyatana) and reviews it; one gives weight to the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception (nevasaññānāsaññāyatana) and reviews it; one gives weight to past knowledge (ñāṇa) of supernormal powers (iddhividha-ñāṇa) that has a past object and reviews it; the knowledge of penetration of the minds of others (cetopariya-ñāṇa) … the knowledge of reminiscence of past lives (pubbenivāsānussati-ñāṇa) … one gives weight to the knowledge of faring according to kamma (yathākammūpaga-ñāṇa) and reviews it; one gives weight to past aggregates (khandhā) that have a past object and reviews them … one relishes and delights in [them]; having given weight to that, lust (rāga) with a past object arises, wrong view (diṭṭhi) arises.
Conascence-predominance: Predominance with a past object is a condition for the associated (sampayutta) aggregates by predominance condition.
