[1579] A phenomenon with an exalted object (mahaggatārammaṇo dhammo) is a condition for a phenomenon with an exalted object by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya).
There are two kinds: object-predominance (ārammaṇādhipati) and conascence-predominance (sahajātādhipati).
As object-predominance: having given importance to the sphere of the infinity of consciousness (viññāṇañcāyatana) … to the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception (nevasaññānāsaññāyatana) … to the knowledge (ñāṇa) of the kinds of supernormal power (iddhividha-ñāṇa) that has an exalted object … to the knowledge penetrating the minds of others (cetopariya-ñāṇa), the knowledge of the recollection of past lives (pubbenivāsānussati-ñāṇa), the knowledge of beings' faring according to their kamma (yathākammūpaga-ñāṇa) … having given importance to the knowledge of the future (anāgataṃsa-ñāṇa) …
Having given importance to exalted (mahaggata) aggregates (khandhā) that have an exalted object, one relishes them; having given importance to that [i.e., those aggregates], lust (rāga) with an exalted object [arises] … view (diṭṭhi) … .
As conascence-predominance: predominance with an exalted object is a condition for the associated aggregates by predominance condition.
