[235] A phenomenon (dhamma) with thought-conception (vitakka) and discursive thought (vicāra) is a condition, by mutuality condition (aññamañña-paccaya), for a phenomenon with thought-conception and discursive thought, for a phenomenon without thought-conception but with discursive thought only, and for a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought. At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), one aggregate (khandha) with thought-conception and discursive thought is a condition, by mutuality condition, for three aggregates, for thought-conception, and for the base (vatthu); two aggregates are a condition, by mutuality condition, for two aggregates, for thought-conception, and for the base.
