[248] A phenomenon (dhamma) with thought-conception and discursive thought (savitakka-savicāra) and a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra) are a condition, by mutuality condition (aññamañña-paccaya), for a phenomenon with thought-conception and discursive thought and for a phenomenon without thought-conception and with discursive thought only (avitakka-vicāramatta).
At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi-kkhaṇa), one aggregate (khandha) with thought-conception and discursive thought and the base (vatthu) are a condition, by mutuality condition, for three aggregates and for thought-conception (vitakka); two aggregates and the base are a condition, by mutuality condition, for two aggregates and for thought-conception.
