Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (2) · Vol. 41 · Section 232

[232] A phenomenon (dhamma) with applied thought and sustained thought (savitakka-savicāra) is a condition, by mutuality condition (aññamañña-paccaya), both for a phenomenon with applied thought and sustained thought and for a phenomenon without applied thought and without sustained thought (avitakka-avicāra). At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), one aggregate (khandha) with applied thought and sustained thought is a condition, by mutuality condition, for three aggregates and for the base (vatthu); two aggregates are a condition, by mutuality condition, for two aggregates and for the base.
