[269] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought (avitakka-vicāramatta), and a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra), are a condition, by dependence condition (nissaya-paccaya), for a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought.
Aggregates (khandhā) without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought, together with discursive thought (vicāra), are a condition, by dependence condition, for mind-originated material phenomena (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa); aggregates without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought, together with the primary elements (mahābhūtā), for mind-originated material phenomena; thought-conception (vitakka), together with the primary elements, for mind-originated material phenomena; aggregates without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought, together with the base (vatthu), are a condition, by dependence condition, for discursive thought.
