[399] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception and with only discursive thought (avitakka-vicāramatta) and a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra) are a condition, by dissociation condition (vippayutta-paccaya), for a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought: conascent, postnascent.
Conascent: the aggregates (khandhā) without thought-conception and with only discursive thought, and discursive thought (vicāra), are a condition, by dissociation condition, for mind-originated material phenomena (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa); at the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), the aggregates without thought-conception and with only discursive thought, and discursive thought, are a condition, by dissociation condition, for kamma-born material phenomena (kaṭattārūpa).
Postnascent: the aggregates without thought-conception and with only discursive thought, and discursive thought, are a condition, by dissociation condition, for this prenascent (purejāta) body.
