Paccanīyapaṭṭhāna

[91] In dependence on a phenomenon (dhamma) without applied thought and with sustained thought only (avitakka-vicāramatta), there arises a phenomenon without applied thought and with sustained thought only, not by dissociation condition (na-vippayutta-paccaya): in the immaterial [plane] (arūpa), in dependence on one aggregate (khandha) without applied thought and with sustained thought only, three aggregates [arise]; in dependence on two aggregates, two aggregates [arise]. In dependence on a phenomenon without applied thought and with sustained thought only, there arises a phenomenon with applied thought and with sustained thought (savitakka-savicāra), not by dissociation condition: in the immaterial [plane], in dependence on applied thought (vitakka), aggregates with applied thought and with sustained thought [arise]. In dependence on a phenomenon without applied thought and with sustained thought only, there arises a phenomenon without applied thought and without sustained thought (avitakka-avicāra), not by dissociation condition: in the immaterial [plane], in dependence on aggregates without applied thought and with sustained thought only, sustained thought (vicāra) [arises]. In dependence on a phenomenon without applied thought and with sustained thought only, there arise a phenomenon without applied thought and with sustained thought only and a phenomenon without applied thought and without sustained thought, not by dissociation condition: in the immaterial [plane], in dependence on one aggregate without applied thought and with sustained thought only, three aggregates and sustained thought [arise]; in dependence on two aggregates, two aggregates and sustained thought [arise].
