[918] A phenomenon (dhammā) whose root is to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena-pahātabbahetuka) and a phenomenon whose root is to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (nevadassanena-nabhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka) are a condition for a phenomenon whose root is to be abandoned by seeing and for a phenomenon whose root is to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development … The preceding aggregates (khandhā) accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), together with delusion (moha), are in each case a condition for the subsequent aggregates accompanied by doubt and for delusion, by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya).
