[917] A phenomenon whose root is to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena-pahātabbahetuka) and a phenomenon whose root is to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (nevadassanena-nabhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka) — [these] phenomena (dhammā) — for a phenomenon whose root is to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development … Each preceding [set of] aggregates (khandhā) accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), together with delusion (moha), is a condition for each subsequent delusion by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya); the aggregates accompanied by doubt, together with delusion, are a condition for emergence (vuṭṭhāna) by immediacy condition.
