[919] A phenomenon whose root is to be abandoned by mental development (bhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka) and a phenomenon whose root is to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by mental development (nevadassanena-nabhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka) — these phenomena (dhammā) are a condition, by way of immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya), for a phenomenon whose root is to be abandoned by mental development. Three. The course [of the exposition] is similar to [that for] seeing (dassana).
