[928] A phenomenon (dhamma) whose root is to be abandoned by development (bhāvanāya pahātabbahetuka) is a condition, by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya), both for a phenomenon whose root is to be abandoned by development and for a phenomenon whose root is to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (nevadassanena-nabhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka): proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: lust (rāga) whose root is to be abandoned by development … longing (patthanā) is a condition, by decisive-support condition, for the aggregates (khandhā) accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca) and for delusion (moha).
