[938] A phenomenon with roots to be abandoned by development (bhāvanāya-pahātabba-hetuka) and a phenomenon with roots to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (neva-dassanena-na-bhāvanāya-pahātabba-hetuka) are a condition for a phenomenon with roots to be abandoned by development by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): proximity decisive support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive support: the aggregates (khandhā) accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), and delusion (moha), are a condition, by decisive-support condition, for lust (rāga) with roots to be abandoned by development and for aspiration (patthanā).
