[939] Phenomena (dhammā) whose root is to be abandoned by development (bhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka) and phenomena whose root is to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (nevadassanena-nabhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka) are a condition, by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya), for a phenomenon whose root is to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development — proximity decisive support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive support (pakatūpanissaya). Natural decisive support: the aggregates accompanied by restlessness, together with delusion, are a condition, by decisive-support condition, for faith, for the attainment of fruition (phala-samāpatti), and for delusion.
