[973] A phenomenon (dhamma) whose roots are to be abandoned neither by seeing (dassana) nor by development (bhāvanā) is a condition for a phenomenon whose roots are to be abandoned by seeing … Prenascence (purejāta): the base (vatthu) is a condition for the aggregates (khandhā) whose roots are to be abandoned by seeing.
