[177] A phenomenon (dhamma) with a condition (sappaccaya) is a condition for a phenomenon with a condition by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya): object-predominance (ārammaṇādhipati), conascence-predominance (sahajātādhipati).
Object-predominance: Having given a gift, … virtue … the uposatha observance (uposathakamma) … having given weight to that, one reviews it.

The noble ones, having emerged from the path (magga), having given weight to the path, review it; having given weight to the fruition (phala) …
The eye (cakkhu) … the base (vatthu) … having given weight to the aggregates (khandha) with a condition, one relishes and delights in them; having given weight to that, lust (rāga) arises, view (diṭṭhi) arises.
Conascence-predominance: a predominance with a condition is a condition for the associated aggregates and for the forms originated by mind (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) by predominance condition.
A phenomenon without a condition (appaccaya) is a condition for a phenomenon with a condition by predominance condition: object-predominance: the noble ones, having given weight to Nibbāna, review it. Nibbāna is a condition for change-of-lineage (gotrabhū), for cleansing (vodāna), for the path, for the fruition, by predominance condition.
