Sanidassanduka

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (3) · Vol. 42 · Section 208

[208] A visible (sanidassana) phenomenon (dhamma) is a condition for an invisible (anidassana) phenomenon by prenascence condition (purejāta-paccaya): visible form (rūpa) as impermanent … grief (domanassa) arises. One sees form with the divine eye (dibbacakkhu). The form base (rūpāyatana) is a condition for eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa) by prenascence condition. An invisible phenomenon is a condition for an invisible phenomenon by prenascence condition: object-prenascence (ārammaṇa-purejāta) and base-prenascence (vatthu-purejāta). Object-prenascence: the eye … the base (vatthu) as impermanent … grief arises. One hears sound with the divine ear element (dibbā sotadhātu). The sound base (saddāyatana) is a condition for ear-consciousness (sotaviññāṇa), and the tangible base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana) for body-consciousness (kāyaviññāṇa), by prenascence condition. Base-prenascence: the eye base (cakkhāyatana) is a condition for eye-consciousness, the body base (kāyāyatana) for body-consciousness, and the base for the invisible aggregates (khandhā), by prenascence condition. A visible phenomenon and an invisible phenomenon are a condition for an invisible phenomenon by prenascence condition: object-prenascence and base-prenascence: the form base and the base are a condition for the invisible aggregates by prenascence condition; the form base and the eye base are a condition for eye-consciousness by prenascence condition.
