[367] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) associated with taints (āsava-sampayutta), a phenomenon dissociated from taints (āsava-vippayutta) arises, not by root condition (na-hetupaccayā): dependent on the aggregates (khandhā) accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), delusion (moha) accompanied by doubt, accompanied by restlessness [arises]. Dependent on a phenomenon dissociated from taints, a phenomenon dissociated from taints arises, not by root condition: dependent on one rootless (ahetuka) aggregate dissociated from taints, three aggregates and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arise]; dependent on two aggregates … rootless rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), up to the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā).
