[368] Dependent on a phenomenon associated with taints (āsavasampayutta dhamma), a phenomenon dissociated from taints (āsavavippayutta dhamma) arises, not by object condition (na-ārammaṇapaccayā): dependent on the aggregates (khandhā) associated with taints, [there arises] mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna rūpa).
Dependent on a phenomenon dissociated from taints, a phenomenon dissociated from taints arises, not by object condition: dependent on the aggregates dissociated from taints, [there arises] mind-originated form; dependent on the delusion (moha) accompanied by grief (domanassa), accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), [there arises] mind-originated form; at the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), dependent on the aggregates, [there arises] the base (vatthu); one great element (mahābhūta) … up to the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā).
