[47] Dependent on a phenomenon with root (sahetuka dhamma), a rootless phenomenon (ahetuka dhamma) arises, not by root condition (na-hetupaccayā):
Dependent on the aggregates (khandhā) accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), arises the delusion (moha) accompanied by doubt, accompanied by restlessness.
Dependent on a rootless phenomenon, a rootless phenomenon arises, not by root condition:
Dependent on one rootless aggregate, three aggregates and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arise]; [dependent on] two aggregates … At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), all should be done as far as the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā).
