[500] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is not a tie (no-gantha), a phenomenon that is not a tie arises — not by root condition (na-hetupaccayā):
Dependent on one rootless (ahetuka) aggregate (khandha) that is not a tie, three aggregates and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arise]; dependent on two aggregates … rootless rebirth-linking (ahetuka-paṭisandhi), up to the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā); dependent on aggregates accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā) or accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), delusion (moha) accompanied by doubt or accompanied by restlessness [arises].
