[565] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is both a knot (gantha) and subject to knots (ganthaniya) is a condition for a phenomenon that is both a knot and subject to knots by root condition (hetu-paccaya): the knots that are roots are a condition for the associated knots by root condition. Thus the nine questions should be elaborated.
