[512] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is a tie (gantha) is a condition, by root condition (hetu-paccaya), for a phenomenon that is a tie: roots that are ties are a condition, by root condition, for the associated (sampayuttaka) ties.
A phenomenon that is a tie is a condition, by root condition, for a phenomenon that is not a tie: roots that are ties are a condition, by root condition, for the associated aggregates and for forms originated by mind (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa).
