[580] Dependent on a hindrance phenomenon (nīvaraṇa dhamma), a hindrance phenomenon arises, not by prenascence condition (na-purejāta-paccaya):
In the immaterial plane (arūpe), dependent on the hindrance of sensual desire (kāmacchanda-nīvaraṇa), there arise the hindrance of dullness and drowsiness (thīna-middha-nīvaraṇa), the hindrance of restlessness (uddhacca-nīvaraṇa), and the hindrance of ignorance (avijjā-nīvaraṇa); in the immaterial plane, dependent on the hindrance of sensual desire, the hindrance of restlessness and the hindrance of ignorance; in the immaterial plane, dependent on the hindrance of doubt (vicikicchā-nīvaraṇa), the hindrance of restlessness and the hindrance of ignorance; in the immaterial plane, dependent on the hindrance of restlessness, the hindrance of ignorance.
Dependent on a hindrance phenomenon, a non-hindrance phenomenon (no-nīvaraṇa dhamma) arises, not by prenascence condition:
In the immaterial plane, dependent on the hindrances, the associated aggregates (sampayuttakā khandhā) arise; dependent on the hindrances, mind-produced form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) arises.
The remaining questions should all be expanded in full; the immaterial is to be done first, the material afterwards, as each is obtainable.
