[696] In dependence on a phenomenon (dhamma) dissociated from misapprehension (parāmāsa-vippayutta), there arises a phenomenon dissociated from misapprehension, not by root condition (na hetupaccayā):
In dependence on one rootless (ahetuka) aggregate (khandha) dissociated from misapprehension, [there arise] three aggregates and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa); in dependence on two aggregates …; rootless rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), as far as the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā); in dependence on the aggregates accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), [there arises] delusion (moha) accompanied by doubt, accompanied by restlessness.
