[560] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is both a defilement (kilesa) and associated with defilement (kilesasampayutta), there arises a phenomenon that is both a defilement and associated with defilement, by root condition (hetu-paccaya): dependent on greed (lobha) [there arise] delusion (moha), wrong view (diṭṭhi), dullness (thīna), restlessness (uddhacca), shamelessness (ahirika), and lack of moral dread (anottappa).
[This dyad] is similar to the dyad of what is both defilement and defiled (kilesa-saṅkiliṭṭha-duka), there being no difference; all the sections (vāra) should be expanded in detail.
