[609] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) having roots to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena-pahātabba-hetuka), there arises a phenomenon having roots to be abandoned by seeing, by root condition (hetu-paccaya): three [cases].
Dependent on a phenomenon not having roots to be abandoned by seeing (na-dassanena-pahātabba-hetuka), there arises a phenomenon not having roots to be abandoned by seeing, by root condition: dependent on one aggregate (khandha) not having roots to be abandoned by seeing, there arise three aggregates and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa); dependent on two aggregates … At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), [and so on] up to the internal great elements (mahābhūtā); dependent on the base (vatthu), there arise aggregates not having roots to be abandoned by seeing.
