[636] A phenomenon (dhamma) with roots to be abandoned by development (bhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka) is a condition, by root condition (hetu-paccaya), for a phenomenon with roots to be abandoned by development: … Six [ways], similar to the dyad of phenomena with roots to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena-pahātabbahetuka-duka).
