[635] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) whose roots are to be abandoned by development (bhāvanāya pahātabbahetuka), a phenomenon whose roots are to be abandoned by development arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya): dependent on one aggregate (khandha) whose roots are to be abandoned by development, three aggregates [arise]; dependent on two aggregates … .
In this way the dependence section (paṭicca-vāra), the conascence section (sahajāta-vāra), the condition section (paccaya-vāra), the support section (nissaya-vāra), the conjoined section (saṃsaṭṭha-vāra), and the associated section (sampayutta-vāra) are similar to the dyad (duka) of phenomena whose roots are to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena pahātabbahetuka). Delusion (moha) accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca) should be put in the place of delusion accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā).
