[592] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) to be abandoned by development (bhāvanāya pahātabba), a phenomenon to be abandoned by development arises by way of non-root condition (na-hetu-paccaya): dependent on the aggregates (khandhā) accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), the delusion (moha) accompanied by restlessness [arises]. Dependent on a phenomenon not to be abandoned by development, a phenomenon not to be abandoned by development arises by way of non-root condition: dependent on one rootless (ahetuka) aggregate not to be abandoned by development … as far as the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā); dependent on the aggregates accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), the delusion accompanied by doubt [arises].
