[674] Dependent on a phenomenon accompanied by rapture (sappītika dhamma), a phenomenon accompanied by rapture arises by not-root condition (na-hetupaccayā): dependent on one rootless (ahetuka) aggregate (khandha) accompanied by rapture, three aggregates [arise]; dependent on two aggregates … . Dependent on a phenomenon accompanied by rapture, a phenomenon unaccompanied by rapture (appītika) arises by not-root condition: dependent on rootless aggregates accompanied by rapture, rapture (pīti) and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arise]. Dependent on a phenomenon accompanied by rapture, phenomena accompanied by rapture and unaccompanied by rapture arise by not-root condition: dependent on one rootless aggregate accompanied by rapture, three aggregates, rapture, and mind-originated form [arise]; dependent on two aggregates … . At the moment of rootless rebirth-linking (ahetuka-paṭisandhi-kkhaṇa), dependent on one aggregate unaccompanied by rapture, three aggregates and kamma-born form (kaṭattā-rūpa) [arise]; dependent on two aggregates, two aggregates and kamma-born form [arise]; dependent on the aggregates, the base (vatthu) [arises]; dependent on the base, the aggregates [arise]; [dependent on] one great essential (mahābhūta), as far as even the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā); dependent on the aggregates accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), the delusion (moha) accompanied by doubt, accompanied by restlessness [arises].
