[739] A sense-sphere phenomenon (kāmāvacara dhamma) is a condition for a sense-sphere phenomenon by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya): object-predominance (ārammaṇādhipati), conascence-predominance (sahajātādhipati).
Object-predominance: a gift (dāna) … virtue (sīla) … the uposatha observance (uposathakamma) … what was formerly well done — giving weight to that, one reviews it, relishes it, delights in it; through giving weight to that, lust (rāga) arises, view (diṭṭhi) arises. Trainers (sekkhā), giving weight to change-of-lineage (gotrabhū), review it; giving weight to that, they review it. The eye … the base (vatthu) … giving weight to sense-sphere aggregates (khandhā), one relishes them, delights in them; through giving weight to that, lust arises, view arises.
Conascence-predominance: sense-sphere predominance is a condition for the associated aggregates (sampayuttakā khandhā) and for the forms originated by mind (cittasamuṭṭhānā rūpā) by predominance condition.
A phenomenon that is not of the sense sphere is a condition for a phenomenon that is not of the sense sphere by predominance condition: object-predominance, conascence-predominance.
Object-predominance: Nibbāna is a condition for the path (magga) and for fruition (phala) by predominance condition.
Conascence-predominance: predominance that is not of the sense sphere is a condition for the associated aggregates by predominance condition.
A phenomenon that is not of the sense sphere is a condition for a sense-sphere phenomenon by predominance condition: object-predominance, conascence-predominance.
Object-predominance: having emerged from jhāna, giving weight to the jhāna, one reviews it, relishes it, delights in it; through giving weight to that, lust arises, view … Noble ones, having emerged from the path, giving weight to the path, review it; the fruition … giving weight to Nibbāna, they review it. Nibbāna is a condition for change-of-lineage and for cleansing (vodāna) by predominance condition. Giving weight to the sphere of the infinity of space (ākāsānañcāyatana), one reviews it; the sphere of the infinity of consciousness (viññāṇañcāyatana) … the sphere of nothingness (ākiñcaññāyatana), the sphere of neither-perception-nor-non-perception (nevasaññānāsaññāyatana), the divine eye (dibbacakkhu), the divine ear element (dibbasotadhātu), the knowledge of supernormal power (iddhividha-ñāṇa) … … giving weight to the knowledge of the future (anāgataṃsa-ñāṇa), one reviews it.
