[678] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is misapprehension (parāmāsa) is a condition for a phenomenon that is misapprehension by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya): having given weight to misapprehension, misapprehension … The three [cases] are to be done only as object predominance (ārammaṇādhipati).
A phenomenon that is not misapprehension is a condition for a phenomenon that is not misapprehension by predominance condition: object predominance, conascence predominance (sahajātādhipati).
Object predominance: giving (dāna) … virtue (sīla) … the uposatha observance (uposathakamma) … Having given weight to that, one reviews it, relishes it, delights in it; having given weight to that, lust (rāga) arises.
