[844] A fixed phenomenon (niyato dhammo) is a condition for an unfixed phenomenon (aniyato dhammo) by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya): the path (magga) is a condition for fruition (phala) by immediacy condition; fixed aggregates (khandhā) are a condition for emergence (vuṭṭhāna) by immediacy condition.
An unfixed phenomenon is a condition for an unfixed phenomenon by immediacy condition: the successively preceding unfixed aggregates are a condition for the successively succeeding unfixed aggregates by immediacy condition; conformity (anuloma) [is a condition] for change-of-lineage (gotrabhu), conformity for cleansing (vodāna), fruition for fruition, conformity for the attainment of fruition (phalasamāpatti); for one emerging from cessation (nirodha), the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception (nevasaññānāsaññāyatana) is a condition for the attainment of fruition by immediacy condition.
