[1140] Dependent on (paṭicca) a wholesome (kusala) phenomenon (dhamma) that is cognizable by some [consciousness] (kenaci viññeyya), there arises a wholesome phenomenon that is cognizable by some [consciousness], by root condition (hetu-paccaya). Dependent on a wholesome phenomenon that is cognizable by some [consciousness], there arises a wholesome phenomenon that is not cognizable by some [consciousness] (kenaci na viññeyya), by root condition. Dependent on a wholesome phenomenon that is cognizable by some [consciousness], there arise a wholesome phenomenon that is cognizable by some [consciousness] and a wholesome phenomenon that is not cognizable by some [consciousness], by root condition.
