[390] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is a root (hetu) and is to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development, there arises a phenomenon that is a root and is to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development, by root condition (hetu-paccaya). (Three.) Dependent on a phenomenon that is not a root (na-hetu) and is to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development, there arises a phenomenon that is not a root and is to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development, by root condition.
