[1076] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) subject to taints (sāsava) that is a root (hetu), a phenomenon that is not free of taints (na-anāsava) and is not a root (na-hetu) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā). One. Dependent on a phenomenon free of taints (anāsava) that is a root, a phenomenon that is not free of taints and is not a root arises by root condition. Three.
