[1086] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is both a taint and associated with taints (āsavañceva-āsavasampayuttañca) and is a root (hetu), a phenomenon that is not a taint and not dissociated from taints (na-āsavañceva-na-āsavavippayuttañca) and is not a root (na-hetu) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā). Three. Dependent on a phenomenon that is associated with taints but not a taint (āsavasampayuttañceva-no-ca-āsava) and is a root, a phenomenon that is not a taint and not dissociated from taints and is not a root arises by root condition.
