[1400] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is not a root (na-hetu) and is not a taint (no-āsava), a root (hetu) phenomenon that is a taint (āsava) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā). Three. Dependent on a phenomenon that is not a root and is not a not-taint (na-no-āsava), a root phenomenon that is a taint arises by root condition. One. Dependent on a phenomenon that is not a root and is not a taint, and a phenomenon that is not a root and is not a not-taint, a root phenomenon that is a taint arises by root condition. One.
