[1082] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is both a taint and subject to taints (āsavañceva-sāsavañca) and is a root (hetu), a phenomenon that is not a taint and not free of taints (na-āsavañceva-na-anāsavañca) and is not a root (na-hetu) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā). Three. Dependent on a phenomenon that is subject to taints but not a taint (sāsavañceva-no-ca-āsava) and is a root, a phenomenon that is not a taint and not free of taints and is not a root arises by root condition.
