[1160] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) accompanied by conflict (saraṇa) that is accompanied by roots but not a root (sahetukañceva-na-ca-hetu), a phenomenon that is not without conflict (na-araṇa) and is not both-rootless-and-a-not-root (na-ahetukañceva-na-na-ca-hetu) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā). One. Dependent on a phenomenon without conflict (araṇa) that is accompanied by roots but not a root, a phenomenon that is not accompanied by conflict (na-saraṇa) and is not both-accompanied-by-roots-and-a-not-root (na-sahetukañceva-na-na-ca-hetu) arises by root condition. One.
