[1407] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is not a root (na-hetu) and is not accompanied by conflict (na-saraṇa), a root (hetu) phenomenon without conflict (araṇa) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā). Dependent on a phenomenon that is not a root and is not without conflict (na-araṇa), a root phenomenon accompanied by conflict (saraṇa) arises by root condition.
