[470] Dependent on a not-root (na-hetu) phenomenon (dhamma) that is not both-a-root-and-dissociated-from-roots (na-hetuñceva-na-hetuvippayuttañca), a not-root phenomenon that is not both-a-root-and-dissociated-from-roots arises by root condition (hetupaccayā). Dependent on a phenomenon that is not a not-root (na-nahetu) and is not both-dissociated-from-roots-and-a-not-root (na-hetuvippayuttañceva-na-na-ca-hetu), a phenomenon that is not a not-root and is not both-dissociated-from-roots-and-a-not-root arises by root condition.
