[554] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is associated with roots but not a root (hetusampayuttañceva-na-ca-hetu) and is invisible and non-impinging (anidassana-appaṭigha), a phenomenon that is not both-dissociated-from-roots-and-a-not-root (na-hetuvippayuttañceva-na-na-ca-hetu) and is not visible and impinging (na-sanidassanasappaṭigha) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā).
