[940] Dependent on a root (hetu) phenomenon (dhamma) cognizable by some [consciousness] (kenaciviññeyya), a not-root (na-hetu) phenomenon that is not cognizable by some [consciousness] (na-kenaciviññeyya) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā).
