[965] Dependent on a root (hetu) phenomenon (dhamma) dissociated from taints and free of taints (āsavavippayutta anāsava), a not-root (na-hetu) phenomenon dissociated from taints and not free of taints (āsavavippayutta na-anāsava) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā). Dependent on a not-root (na-hetu) phenomenon dissociated from taints and free of taints, a not-root phenomenon dissociated from taints and not free of taints arises by root condition. Dependent on a root phenomenon dissociated from taints and free of taints and a not-root phenomenon dissociated from taints and free of taints, a not-root phenomenon dissociated from taints and not free of taints arises by root condition.
