[964] Dependent on a not-root (na-hetu) phenomenon (dhamma) dissociated from taints and subject to taints (āsavavippayutta sāsava), a phenomenon that is not a not-root (na-nahetu) and is dissociated from taints and not subject to taints (āsavavippayutta na-sāsava) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā). This is similar to the mundane [dyad] (lokiya).
