[104] A bhikkhu who has spread the kaṭhina departs, taking robe-cloth with him. While he is outside the boundary (sīmā), it occurs to him thus: "I will have this robe made right here; I will not return." He has that robe made. For that bhikkhu, the withdrawal of the kaṭhina (kaṭhinuddhāra) is determined by the completion (of the robe).
A bhikkhu who has spread the kaṭhina departs, taking robe-cloth with him. While he is outside the boundary, it occurs to him thus: "I will neither have this robe made, nor will I return." For that bhikkhu, the withdrawal of the kaṭhina is determined by the decision.
A bhikkhu who has spread the kaṭhina departs, taking robe-cloth with him. While he is outside the boundary, it occurs to him thus: "I will have this robe made right here; I will not return." He has that robe made. While that robe of his is being made, it is destroyed. For that bhikkhu, the withdrawal of the kaṭhina is determined by the destruction (of the robe).
