[528] Here again, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu, having committed several offences (āpatti) entailing initial and subsequent meetings of the Saṅgha (saṅghādisesa) and not having concealed them, becomes a novice (sāmaṇera) … becomes mad (ummattaka) … becomes deranged in mind (khittacitta) … it is to be elaborated in the same way as before … he becomes afflicted by feeling (vedanā) … He has offences both concealed and unconcealed … He knows some offences and does not know some offences … He remembers some offences and does not remember some offences … He is free from doubt about some offences and in doubt about some offences. Those offences about which he is free from doubt, those offences he conceals; those offences about which he is in doubt, those offences he does not conceal. He becomes afflicted by feeling. Having afterwards ceased to be afflicted by feeling: those offences which, being free from doubt, he concealed before, those offences, being free from doubt, he does not conceal afterwards; those offences which, being in doubt, he did not conceal before, those offences, being free from doubt, he does not conceal afterwards. …
Those offences which, being free from doubt, he concealed before, those offences, being free from doubt, he does not conceal afterwards; those offences which, being in doubt, he did not conceal before, those offences, being free from doubt, he conceals afterwards. …
Those offences which, being free from doubt, he concealed before, those offences, being free from doubt, he conceals afterwards; those offences which, being in doubt, he did not conceal before, those offences, being free from doubt, he does not conceal afterwards. …
Those offences which, being free from doubt, he concealed before, those offences, being free from doubt, he conceals afterwards; those offences which, being in doubt, he did not conceal before, those offences, being free from doubt, he conceals afterwards.
To that bhikkhu, bhikkhus, having given probation (parivāsa) for the earlier and the later masses of offences (āpattikkhandha) according as they were concealed, mānatta should be given.
The Hundred on Mānatta is finished.
